Sara and Mom are in the car. They are going to Grandma's house. Sara is excited.
They arrive. Sara runs to the door. Grandma opens it with a big smile.
"Sara! You are here!" Grandma says. She gives Sara a big hug.
Sara looks around the house. She sees something new on the shelf. It is round. It has numbers on it. She says, "What is this?"
"It is a clock," Grandma says. "It tells us the time."
Sara looks closer. "Tick, tock, tick, tock," she says, listening to the sound.
Grandma takes Sara to the kitchen. There is a plate of cookies on the table.
"Would you like a cookie?" Grandma asks.
"Yes, please!" Sara says. She takes a cookie and eats it slowly. "This is delicious, Grandma!"
After the cookie, Grandma takes Sara to the garden. Sara sees something new. It is tall. It has purple flowers. She says, "What is this?"
"It is lavender," Grandma says. "Smell it."
Sara smells the flower. "It smells nice!" she says.
Grandma sits down on a bench. Sara sits next to her. "Tell me a story, Grandma," Sara says.
Grandma smiles. "When I was young, like you, I had a garden too," she says. "I planted flowers, just like you do."
Sara listens carefully. "Really? What flowers did you plant?"
"Roses," Grandma says. "Big, red roses."
Sara looks at Grandma's hands. She says, "What is this?" pointing to a ring on Grandma's finger.
"This was my mother's ring," Grandma says. "It is very old and very special."
Sara touches the ring gently. "It's beautiful," she says.
Mom calls from the house. "Sara, it's time to go home!"
Sara hugs Grandma tightly. "I love visiting you, Grandma," she says.
"I love your visits too," Grandma says. "Come back soon!"
Sara waves as the car drives away. She had a wonderful day with Grandma.
See you next time, Sara!
